Mar 08, AM. I was thinking the other day how awesome it would be to have a big budget Sword of Truth movie. The question is, who would you cast in the various roles. Assuming you could put together actors from different generations and times and not just from today, who would be your ideal cast? Some friends of mine are trying to get a movie made. Goodkind is a very popular author and his Sword of Truth books have forged a place in modern fantasy literature that will be a benchmark for future series. But let me back up a moment and explain a little history. Some years back Terry Goodkind licensed the film and television rights to his books. Terry Goodkind then published an open letter to his fans , selling them on the idea of adapting his published stories to television. His rationalization was that a movie was too long to make and a TV show built on self-contained episodic stories would allow the addition of details to the fantasy world.
