Flesh & Bone (Rot & Ruin, #3) by Jonathan MaberryReeling from the tragic events of Dust & Decay, Benny Imura and his friends plunge deep into the zombie-infested wastelands of the great Rot & Ruin. Benny, Nix, Lilah and Chong journey through a fierce wilderness that was once America, searching for the jet they saw in the skies months ago. If that jet exists then humanity itself must have survived…somewhere. Finding it is their best hope for having a future and a life worth living.
But the Ruin is far more dangerous than any of them can imagine. They are hunted by fierce animals escaped from zoos and circuses. They must raid zombie-infested towns for food and medical supplies. They discover the very real truth in the old saying: In the Rot & Ruin…everything wants to kill you.
And what is happening to the zombies? Swarms of them are coming from the east, devouring everything in their paths. These zoms are different. Faster, smarter, infinitely more dangerous. Has the zombie plague mutated, or is there something far more sinister behind this new invasion of the living dead?
In Flesh & Bone, Benny Imura, Nix Riley, Lou Chong and Lilah the Lost Girl are pitted against dangers greater than anything theyve ever faced. To survive, each of them must rise to become the warriors Tom trained them to be.

As Claire Sarah Hay sat at her dressing room vanity, processing her star-making turn as the lead in a new ballet, artistic director Paul Ben Daniels tried to reclaim his dominance. Running his hand down her chest and across her cheek, Paul asked his new star to tell him everything she was feeling. What did you want it to accomplish? We saw this playing out through the first season: the balance between trying to find professional success and maintaining your personal agency. For Claire, she had such obstacles when she arrived. She had no sense of her personal strength or what she could ask for, and what she was entitled to as a person and as an artist. When you look at some of my favorite dancers — Gillian Murphy, and Stella Radetsky, and Misty Copeland — they are artists, and their value is known.

Yet as the story of aspiring ballet star Claire Robbins unfolds, it only intermittently lifts off. Sarah Hay, who takes on the mentally and physically taxing role of Claire, is to be credited for her obvious determination and exceptional dancing. The role of Grayson offers operatic possibilities, and Daniels knows how to take advantage of all of them. Still, he is one more grimly determined character in a roster of players who all appear to be unhappy or unsatisfied almost all the time, and the story of a Balanchine-like guru turning a young dancer into his puppet has familiar contours. Production : Filmed in New York for Starz. BBC Studios has made progress on gender pay equality and published an action plan for further improvement, but the gap remains in double digits and men still receive far bigger bonuses, on average, than women.
