Commentary: The bittersweet feeling of a conclusion, for a fan and for the talent behind Adventure Time. After 10 years and episodes, Adventure Time is ending. It's amazing to look back and see a series that began as a viral short and evolved into a genuine animation titan. Adventure Time has aired on Cartoon Network since April , and the original short first aired in But after years of unexpected viral success, video game, comic and card game adaptations and Emmy awards -- as well as creator Pendelton Ward handing the reins to a new batch of creatives during the fifth season -- it's ending. Cartoon Network first announced the series was canceled way back in September , leaving fans waiting to see how things will conclude in the land of Ooo.
Finn Mertens also called Finn the Human , identified in the Islands as P-G Mertens , and formerly known as Pen in the original short is the main protagonist of the series Adventure Time. Margaret finds Finn and adopts him. Having been a known con artist, Martin is confronted by an old foe and forced to flee the house with baby Finn while Minerva was at work. Martin brings Finn onto a raft, only to be attacked by the Guardian. Finn and Martin are separated as a result, with Finn being sent adrift towards Ooo and Martin disappearing. As shown in " Memories of Boom Boom Mountain ," Finn appears to have been abandoned in the woods during infancy.

Built into the base of the tree is a wooden shack from which the rooms inside the canopy can be accessed. Various decorations, including windows, flags, and chimneys, can be seen sticking out of the canopy.
