I am so glad to be able to mark this as read.

In February of 2015, I was asked by friends to join them in reading the Bible through in one year. A daunting task, it seemed to me. My spirit was led, and I agreed. Though Ive been a Christian for a long time, there were still books that Id never read. Amos and Micah, for example. A cross-country move left me 3 weeks behind, but I trudged on. Learning, growing, enriching His Spirit within me. How did I ever walk with Him without this daily practice of being in His Word?

John 15: 4-9
4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.
9 As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.

I have chosen to continue my reading, but am following a two-year plan this time. Reading through in one year was heavy and left little time for contemplation of what Id read or for looking into a Bible Atlas to follow the journeys of those I was reading on. Continuing in His love...

The Thompson-Chain Reference Study Bible-KJV

The first edition, and KJV, was printed in Instead it has lists of topics and chain references throughout the Bible. The cover on this edition is black bonded leather and a vinyl liner. Regardless, I recommend spending the extra and getting the genuine leather or even better rebinding this one with edge-lined cow hide, calf skin, or goatskin as the need arises. The spine actually folds in the middle and the gutter raises up to make the pages lay flat. There are four columns per page.

Easy to learn and use, the Thompson Chain-Reference system contains over , topical references in over 8, chain topics, helping to make in-depth topical study and lesson preparation easier and more efficient. There really are no other Bibles quite like it. In fact, this Bible studies itself. And again, the best part is, all the answers are scriptural. There are also many old fashioned yet satisfying maps and illustrations found in the back of this Bible unlike anything I have ever come across before. They look to be hand drawn and you can really get a sense of the heart of the man behind all the detailed and painstaking work.

It even has a few refinements to the Thompson Chain Reference system to improve it even further. Kirkbride provided this Bible free for review. I was not required to give a positive review only an honest review. My opinions are my own. Nest Learning.
