IF GOD IS FOR US THEN WHO CAN BE AGAINST US?
Romans NIV. If God is for us, who can be against us? Romans Who can be against us, when God is for us? Who can be our foe if God is on our side? This is a rhetorical question. It does not need an answer.
With all the pressures that we face daily, we may sometimes feel like God were a foe and not a friend. This feeling is without doubt baseless since God is not the source of your stress and headache. Many Christians today believe that God makes us suffer.

If God is for us, who can be against us? Nothing can match His Glory, strength, power, might, knowledge, forgiveness, blessings, riches, love, mercy, grace, omnipotence, omniscience, omnipresence, skill, handiwork, greatness, holiness, righteousness, availability, sensitivity, patience, tenderness, peace, graciousness, gentleness, self-control, joy, kindness, faithfulness, goodness, strategic ways, agape love, bravery, consistency, intentionality, humbleness, willingness, sympathy, empathy, beauty, authority, and anything else you can possibly think of. The root of this question has the answer in verse 28 preceding it. You must be called by God to be in His eternal family. But I think that too often, we can apply this verse too quickly, without digging deep into what it really means. Throughout our lives, many, many things will stand against us. Romans What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, hath found? Numbers Only rebel not ye against the LORD, neither fear ye the people of the land; for they are bread for us: their defence is departed from them, and the LORD is with us: fear them not. Deuteronomy Happy art thou, O Israel: who is like unto thee, O people saved by the LORD, the shield of thy help, and who is the sword of thy excellency! New International Version What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? New Living Translation What shall we say about such wonderful things as these?
